WELCOME TO BYG AVIARY

Fischerlovebird Top Site List

Bird breeding has been a part of my family for quite some time now and it will always be a part of me. I’ve been around birds for almost all my life with the tutelage of my father, I had my first 3 pairs of parakeets when I was around 6-7 years old from then on the passion grew and more birds in different species were added. However, as my teenage years kicked in, I temporarily lost interest in birds and was interested more in other stuff. However, I was sure that someday I would pick up the hobby where I started and surely did! I started BYG AVIARY August of 2008 and now there’s no stopping me, I was on research mode 24/7 on all the things that could help me learn more about every aspect of bird keeping and breeding luckily there are a lot of information out in the net.

My main focus right now is with the EYERING GROUP I currently have 3 of the 4 species of the Eyering group (FISCHERI, PERSONATUS and my favorite of them all the NIGRIGENIS) and hopefully I could add AGAPORNIS LILINAE in my collection in the future.

We take great pride of our birds that’s why we give them the best possible care that we could provided them and the proper nutrition available, we also believe that quality over quantity is the key to successful breeding that’s why we only breed the best birds that we could get our hands on. I manage the aviary hands on with the help of 1 well trained and dedicated helper. Dealing with these birds means everything to me, it gives me satisfaction and relaxation. I am also breeding these birds to produce quality birds and hopefully in producing new mutations that I could share with friends and other enthusiast within our country and hopefully around the world. Breeding birds is one of my hobbies and every hobby or pastime costs money. I do not breed birds just to make money out of them; it is almost impossible to make a profit, let alone become rich in breeding birds! We do sell some birds, all sales generated are used to help support basic needs and maintenance of the aviary and also used in acquiring new lines and stocks to help strengthen my current stocks and to avoid inbreeding within my flock so it’s really not a business nor about making money but it’s a passion that is demanding and very expensive that needs to be supported day in and day out.
